Monster Truck Show!

Last Saturday we went to the Monster Jam Rally and had a blast! Brady is a HUGE fan of anything that has to do with trucks or cars, so its no surprise he LOVES Monster Trucks and Nascar, haha! We went to a rally last summer that the kids totally enjoyed, so we were estatic to find out they were going to be in the Rio Tinto Stadium. Jake's company has a suite at the stadium, so he asked one of the owners if we might be able to get discount tickets. Phil, who thinks the world of Jake and all his mad IT skills, told him he would do better than that, and gave him 4 tickets to the SUITE!! We had water and drinks and popcorn and Jake even had a few Coronas! ;) It was so much fun, and the kids thought we were SO COOL to be in a Suite! We sat on the balcony for the most part, but during the mini half-time we retreated to the nice air conditioned room to cool off after being in the 100+ degree heat. We had super comfy padded chairs, too! To top it off, Brady's favorite truck Grave Digger won the Freestyle competition!

First Day of School!

I can't believe the kids went back to school today! I feel so amazingly old to have a 5th grade and a 1st grader!! Of course it will only be worse next year, haha!! They look a little sleepy this morning! ;)

Happy Anniversary Baby!

Today, 8 years ago, Jake and I were married. Some days it seems like it was only yesterday!

For our anniversary, we went to a Green Day concert! There were actually here on our anniversary, the 16th, so it was perfect. As the wonderful wife I am, Jake even went golfing in the morning! :) We went to Red Rock Brewing Company for dinner, and then had a blast at the show!

Us at the concert

There are so many reasons I love my husband. Here are just a few.

1. I love that you have given the kids your passion for sports. The kids love playing sports, watching sports, and talking about sports. We go to several sporting events through the year and the kids love it.

2. You always take care of the yardwork so I don't have to. I've never had to mow the lawn, I don't even think I could start the lawn mower!

3. Jake always puts gas in the car for me. I probably haven't done it in at least 2 years...I know can you believe it!! I'm just a little spoiled aren't I?!

4. Jake is an exceptional cook. I say it all the time, but seriously, the kids and I would eat cereal and microwave dinners if it wasn't for him.

Love you Baby! You have made me so happy all these years, and I can't wait to see what else the future has in store for us! ;)

Ok, ok....

I been begged, beaten and bullied into updating our blog. Well ok, the beating may have been non-existent, but I've been mercilessly begged by both my Mom and Dad to update the blog-o. Its just been a crazy, busy summer, but I guess that's nothing new to anyone else, right?!
So in my crazy OCD way I'll be back dating entries so that the events correlate with the dates. Yes, yes I know I have a problem, but really I'm fine with it so maybe you are the one with the problem huh? ;)
Alright so without further delay (because its not like its been delayed 2 whole months ya know...) scroll down below this post for some pictures and the goins-on at our house lately!
EDIT: I'm slowly getting caught up! 4th of July is now up...now I only have left....
